Chris AKA Bones, the Takeena’s captain, is originally from North Dakota and came to Alaska in 2007 when he was 20 years old to work as a deckhand on a sportfishing charter boat. That first season Chris absolutely fell in love with Alaska and deckhanded for a few seasons before earning his captains license and is now in his tenth season as a captain. In the off season, you can find Chris guiding for big game, hunting, crabbing, trapping and tendering for sea cucumbers. Chris is a true outdoorsman and has extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna of Southeast Alaska, which he loves to share with his clients.

Serena Wild,Owner

Serena, Takeena’s land based liaison, was born and raised in Southeast Alaska. Serena started working in the kitchen for a sport fishing lodge in her hometown when she was 12 years old and by 17 was the head chef. The waterways of Southeast Alaska were Serena’s backyard where she spent most of her free time boating, beach combing, fishing and exploring the hidden coves. In 2010 Serena moved to Sitka and has since been enjoying discovering all the area has to offer.

Eben Mayer, Deckhand

Eben Mayer, comes from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. He is a passionate salmon and steelhead angler who enjoys spending all of his spare time on the water. Currently, Eben is pursuing a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology at the University of Montana. While in Montana, you can find him fly fishing for trout or pursuing big game throughout the state. 

Alicia fisher,

Chef/steward

Alicia grew up in the small sailing town of Annapolis, Maryland. While majoring in Environmental Studies, she lived on her small sailing boat throughout university. During this time at college, she worked at various restaurants and vineyards, eventually working her way up to managing a small restaurant. Combining her passion for sailing, adventure, hospitality, and the natural environment, she joined the yachting industry 8 years ago, and has been cruising the world ever since. Alicia’s cuisine style can best be described as an international “Seaside Cafe,” combining flavors from the various locations she has traveled and studied around the world with local produce and the catch-of-the-day. Alicia’s additional hobbies include: Hiking, photography, musical and cultural pursuits in each new location she’s visits, and diving.
